We are seeking applications from candidates who specialize in the study of social-ecological systems in the context of sustainable development. Potential areas of focus or application include, but are not limited to climate change, land cover change, food systems, human or political ecology, urban metabolism and resource systems, environmental health and justice, participatory science and sustainability indicators. The ideal candidate utilizes quantitative and qualitative methods and can teach core courses in the BA in Environment and Urban Sustainability. The successful candidate will engage in a combination of teaching, scholarly research or creative activity and service duties while maintaining an inclusive, equitable, and collegial work environment across all activities. Teaching duties will entail teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels, supervision of students and/or curriculum development. The successful candidate will pursue a strong, innovative research program or creative activity that is externally funded and that produces cutting-edge, high quality results. Candidates must hold a doctoral degree in Geography, Environmental Studies or Sciences, Human Ecology or a closely related field by the appointment date.
