SRC's Loop reporting & your Orcid ID - deadline January 15

2018-11-22 11:36

Time has come to submit and report your work to SRC’s internal monitoring system on The Loop and to check if your Orcid ID is up to date.

The deadline to enter your information and update your profile on The Loop is 15th of January. This lays the foundation for what is included in SRC's annual report as well as various analyses for partners, funders and stakeholders, including SU. Your information can also be used as background material for your next staff appraisal dialogue. How to use Loops monitoring page: 1) In the top right here at Loop you see your name – click on your name – click on My Page 2) Provide information using the six forms. (If e.g. a collaboration you added last year is still ongoing, just make sure the ”end date” hasn't passed, don’t re-enter.) - Projects, Collaborations & Networks - Outreach Publications & Media (Your scientific publications are extracted from your Orcid iD) - Events - External Assignments: Education, Boards & Committees - Recognitions & Awards - Signs of external impact How to use Orcid ID: Our intranet, the Loop, is connected to Orcid ID. This means you no longer need to manually write your publications in Loop. Instead your publications will be imported directly from Orcid. 108 researchers have provided me with their public Orcid iD account. If yours is missing, please let me know. 1) Import your publications to your Orcid record. Under the Works header, click + Add works, then Search & Link and select a tool (choose at least Scopus) to import your works automatically. 2) If you are missing any publications, please add them manually. You can allow Crossref, DataCite or Publons to auto-update your Orcid ID. Find out how here: https://support.orcid.org/hc/en-us/articles/360006896394-Auto-updates-time-saving-and-trust-building. Please note that Loop only syncs with information under the Orcid section Works. The solution is also connected to Altmetric, to support follow up on policy and media uptake. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or comments. Thank you for your collaboration! Best from Eva
