For more details contact Jan Kuiper jan.kuiper@su.se 2. Jan also reported from the C40 World Mayor Summit in Copenhagen where the Good Food Cities Declaration was launched. It was based on the EAT-Lancet Planetary Health Diet. Sounds familiar? https://www.stockholmresilience.org/research/research-news/2019-01-17-the-planetary-health-diet.html 3. Former SRC MSc student Abigayil Blandon abigayil.blandon@su.se reported back from her 6-month research trip to Japan working as a research assistant at the University of Tokyo. 4. Lan Wang Erlandsson (lan.wang@su.se) and Sam Zipper announced that after two years of work their papers on water planetary boundaries were finally submitted. These papers provide a more extensive overview of the freshwater boundary and key water functions and processes. 5. Juan Rocha Gordo juan.rocha@su.se provided an update on his many commitments which include conferences in Lima, being part of the PIK-SRC-Princeton PostDoc network, the Robert Bosch Stiftung’s Postdoc Academy for Transformational Leadership and Future Earth’s Earth Commission. Phew! 6. Tim DuBois tim.dubois@su.se , Louise louise@albaeco.com, and Jennifer Hinton jennifer.hinton@su.se reflected on Jonas Gren’s emotional performance during the Planetary Boundaries 10-year seminar 1 October where Gren listed all endangered species currently known in Sweden. Why didn’t more people care? It left Tim with sadness, anger and disappointment although we may all react in different ways to things that are difficult. 7. Finally, Owen Gaffney owen.gaffney@su.se gave a failure talk on some of his less successful endeavours. Three words: Brazil, DVD, recycling. Confused? Talk to Owen, it’s a wonderful story.
