Seminar Wednesday 21 October 9.00-11.00 via Zoom Writing competitive proposals for the ERC Starting and Consolidator Grants The European Research Council (ERC) provides funding for breakthrough research with a high-risk/high-gain dimension. Gavin Thomson will introduce the format of ERC funding and give advice on how to write competitive proposals for ERC Starting and Consolidator Grants. Gavin has a long experience in providing support for ERC applicants and he has been an appreciated reviewer of drafts. The preliminary deadlines of the 2021 calls are 9 March for the ERC Starting Grant and 20 April for the ERC Consolidator Grant.
