Job Description We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join an interdisciplinary team focusing on ecohydrology, soil physics, and the dynamics of complex adaptive systems in water-limited ecosystems. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge research related to sustainable water management, plant salt tolerance, and biophysical interactions in degraded natural and managed environments. Key Responsibilities: Conduct research on plant-soil-water interactions, emphasizing soil physics and salinity impacts. Develop and apply mechanistic and stochastic models to explore water and food security within complex adaptive systems. Collaborate on projects integrating hydrology, biogeochemical cycles, and human-natural system feedback. Contribute to developing ecohydrological models and frameworks that inform sustainable water and land management. Qualifications: Ph.D. in hydrology, soil physics, environmental science, environmental engineering, or a related field. Expertise in process-based modeling, data analysis, and ecohydrology, with a background in soil physics. Experience with plant physiological modeling, salinity impacts on soil water balance, or the dynamics of complex adaptive systems. Experience with fieldwork in land-atmosphere gas exchange measurements is preferred. Proficiency in quantitative tools such as programming, data analysis, and model development. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. More info here: https://www.egu.eu/jobs/6294/postdoctoral-research-associate-in-ecohydrology-soil-physics-and-complex-adaptive-systems/
