Loop goes ORCID

We are integrating ORCID with the loop. Smooth! Here's how:
Dear colleagues,

As introduced during last weeks Speed Talk our new intranet, the Loop, is now connected to ORCID iD. This means you no longer need to manually write your publications in Loop. Instead your publications will be imported directly from your ORCID iD.

If you want help to start up an ORCID iD, please bring your computer to todays Speed Talk. Support will be available in the lobby at 13.00. Please e-mail me before about your needs or tell me if you prefer another day. You can also use the attached guide.

This is a solution to make reporting publications to SRC easier. At the same time ORCID is a useful profile for external grant funding used by for example the Swedish Research Council (VR), Forte and Formas, and it introduces you externally. Your information also supports different SRC-quality-processes.

What to do?

1) Register at https://orcid.org/register
(choose a Public account).
2) Import your publications to your ORCID record. Under the Works header, click + Add works, then Search & Link and select a tool (choose at least Scopus) to import your works automatically.
3) If you are missing any publications, please add them manually.

Important

NOTE 1: Loop only syncs with information at your ORCID iD-account under the section WORKS.
NOTE 2: Make sure your information is PUBLIC. Under Account settings, click Privacy preferences and then EVERYONE.

Finally, please e-mail me your ORCID iD-number

Please e-mail your ORCID iD-number to Eva (eva.brattander@su.se) after you have updated your works.

Thank you!

Kind regards from Eva
