Konstfack hackathon for Lesbos refugees. SRC guest speakers?

Dear Stockholm Resilience Centre, <p><br/></p><p> My name is Georgina Finou and I am the Communications Officer for an award-winning innovative agency LATRA (www.latra.gr) based in the KARA TEPE Refugee Camp in the island of Lesbos Greece. </p><p><br/></p><p> During Week 42, LATRA will be producing a Humanitarian Design Hackathon in Stockholm, Sweden which will be hosted by Konstfack University of Art and Design. </p><p><br/></p><p>The Hackathon will address 4 challenges which were identified during field research in Greece:  </p><p><br/></p><p>1) Waste Management aimed at improving the resilience of Refugee Camps </p><p>2) Community outreach for beneficiaries, donors and partners using VR, AI and digital apps </p><p>3) Distribution of local currency to refugees </p><p>4) 21st Century education through STEM and play </p><p><br/></p><p>The aim of the Hackathon is to implement, test and accelerate the solutions which will be generated during the Hackathon, to the humanitarian field of Lesvos, and thus an opportunity to generate positive social impact at the point of most need. It would be an honor if the Stockholm Resilience Centre, could participate as a guest speaker during the hackathon and/or a juror during the final pitch by the participating hackers. </p><p><br/></p><p>Below are the available slots/roles and time commitment required: </p><p><br/></p><p>- Tuesday 17/10 (16.00-18.00): Guest Speaker </p><p>- Wednesday 18/10 (16.00-18.00): Guest Speaker </p><p>- Thursday 19/10 (16.00-18.00): Guest Speaker </p><p>- Friday 20/10 (15.00-20.00): Juror in Hackathon </p><p><br/></p><p>If you are interested in taking part, please contact latracontact@gmail.com</p>
