Follow-up: Resilient food systems seminar

This is a follow-up to the seminar on resilient food systems in the face of crisis, held April 28th. Here you will find links to the notes and the video from the seminar, as well as an indication of next steps.
First, a big thanks to everyone who presented at the seminar, to all the participants, and to our fantastic note takers! RECAP The seminar was two hours. The first hour consisted of nine five-minute presentations from the following individuals. •My Sellberg- COVID-19 and local food actors - reflections 'from the field' •Afton Halloran – A peek into Nordic Council of Minister thinking on resilient food systems •Kajsa Resare Sahlin - Barriers to diversification - learnings from the Swedish UNISECO case •Emmy Wassénius - Diversity in global food production systems: Trade-offs for human health and resilience •Kate Lillepold - Food systems and co-evolutionary dynamics as predictors of hotspots for new emerging infectious diseases •Jen Hinton - Relationship-to-profit in the globalized industrial food system •Jamila Haider - Co-evolution in biocultural landscapes •Miina Porkka- Risk of cascading shocks in the global food system •Cibele Queiroz – Unpacking resilience in food systems: scales, geographical context and narratives The second hour was an open discussion to 'make sense' of these diverse perspectives and understand how we might make a contribution to ongoing and future crises.
