Collaboration opportunities with SU Statistics dept (Social science faculty)?

At a student fair at SRC I met Jenny Rosen from the Statistics Department. This is a separate department from the stats section of the maths department (who do more stats support for natural sciences). When i described some of the range of research questions we cover at SRC she thought that colleagues would be interested in collaborations to make new sustainability-focussed applications of their advanced stats methods. Perhaps good collaborators on data-heavy research applications? They also do introductory and advanced stats courses that some students may be interested in. Jenny suggested a stats-meets-SRC fika. I thought good idea for them to visit a staff meeting and have a brainstorm afterwards. Let me know if you are interested in this link... Cheers Tim
