Call for SDG labs! Deadline February 10

The Stockholm Resilience Centre and Future Earth are launching a call for Sustainable Development Goal Labs (SDG Labs) in advance of the Resilience 2017 conference and International Conference on Sustainability Science, which will be held back to back in Stockholm 21-26 August. We are looking for brilliant ideas with potential to make major breakthroughs on the SDGs. The outcomes of the SDG Labs will be presented on 24 August during the joint “Ideas and Innovation” policy day for policymakers, business, researchers and media.<br /><br />More information and apply here:<br />http://www2.ir3s.u-tokyo.ac.jp/icss2017/sdg-labs/<br /><br />We can fund about 5-7 labs at $5k each. The labs can take place anytime anywhere between now and the conferences. The lab format is flexible but is likely to be a one or two-day focused workshop type activity. The grant can be supplemented by other funding if insufficient. The application process is short and sweet, successful applications will know on 20 February, and the form to fill in is short and sweet too. I have already been approached by several SRC researchers with brilliant ideas, so looking forward to more! <br /><br />The International Sustainability Science Conference will be the seventh. These are small conferences of about 120-150 people and all in plenary. The focus of this year’s conference will be SDG integration and will use the Future Earth Knowledge Action Network framing that several groups at SRC are already engaged with.
