We are pleased to invite you to this BBL in which we will present insights from the recently launched report entitled “Pathways towards a sustainable and resilient economy”. The report was commissioned by WWF Sweden as part of their annual Economic Forum initiative. In this report we articulated a vision of resilient and sustainable economies which build on principles from the Doughnut and Wellbeing Economies, and we explored four proposals which seek to put our economies on a path towards this vision: the Circular Bioeconomy, the Laghum Economy, the Nature-Positive Economy and the Not-for-Profit Economy. Some of you were involved in a workshop in May which informed one of the sections in this report. In this BBL, we (Jen Hinton, Niak Koh, David Collste and myself) will present a few of the headlines of the report, followed by a more detailed presentation of the penultimate two sections of the report (Synergies and Tensions; Options for actions), which were developed with input from colleagues at SRC and KVA. We will then dive into a panel discussion which will further unpack aspects of the report, as well as some reflections on the process and reception. We will end with opening up for Q&A and discuss how we can build on this work / take this work forward.
